DIME OFFERS LEGAL AID AND MEDIATION ASSISTANCE IN CASES OF RACISM AND DISCRIMINATION
Many people find it difficult to understand their rights and how to proceed in order to exercise them.
For the sake of halting and preventing discrimination and prejudice, free legal aid in discrimination and racism cases are important.
DiMe is a service for individuals who feel powerless when experiencing racism and discrimination. DiMe is a place to be acknowledged, taken seriously and receive guidance by legal advisors.
Many people who experience discrimination are met in a negative and prejudiced way. This may lead to a belief that speaking up only makes the problem bigger. DiMe wants to change this, and is constantly in dialogue with public agencies.
Mediation is a process that facilitates conversations between people in conflict, and may be valuable for people who will continue to have a relationship in the future.
DISCRIMINATION LEGAL AID
The Discrimination Legal Aid offers free legal assistance for complaints or reports about racism and discrimination. We also assess whether the case may be suitable for mediation.
The legal aid accepts cases that apply to all areas of society and grounds of discrimination. We aim to make our services as barrier-free as possible.
We use an interpreter when necessary.
MEDIATION ASSISTANCE
The Mediation Assistance facilitate meetings between parties in a conflict that arises due to accusations of racism or discrimination.
Mediation is voluntary and requires the consent of both parties.
