About
OSLO MUNICIPALITY INITIATED THE ESTABLISHING OF DIME IN 2018
DiMe is an important service for individuals who are exposed to racism and discrimination. Free of charge legal aid is necessary to prevent racism and discrimination in our society.
DiMe assists individuals who experience discrimination or who have witnessed discriminatory behaviour. DiMe support people who experience powerlessness when they are affected by discrimination and racism. It is important to know about your rights and DiMe provide information and guidance about steps you can take to deal with the problem.
We work daily to give people hope.
We contact people and minority groups who do not usually seek help. We participate in events and collaborate with relevant organisations.

OUR HISTORY
Oslo Municipality found there was an unmet need for legal aid in cases of discrimination and racism. Norwegian People's Aid, The Anti-Racist Center, Queer World and the Norwegian Association of Disabled collaborate in the partnership called DiMe. The Council for Religious and Life Stance Communities Bergen is also a partner in DiMe Bergen.
Through our partners, DiMe gets an unique insight into discrimination that affects different personal aspects at the same time. DiMe offers individual assistance for people.
DiMe is currently available for people living in Oslo and Bergen. Our goal is to be a nationwide assistance.
